The Signals Report provides a periodic summary of signal activity across your portfolio. Use it to review how many signals were created, how quickly they were processed, and how accurately they were categorized. Navigate to it from Case Management > Signal Cases, or directly via the /signals-report URL.

The report automatically selects the most recently completed 14-day reporting period. You can adjust the date range or filter by a specific institution using the controls at the top of the page.

Understanding the Report Sections

The report is organized into three numbered sections, each building on the previous one.

Section 1: Period Overview & Processing

Four KPI cards summarize signal volume for the selected period:

  • Signals Created counts signals by their creation date, excluding non-actionable categories (INF, NONE, ERROR).
  • Open Signals shows how many signals from this period remain unresolved.
  • Monitored Signals counts signals closed with the reason "monitoring" — a subset of all closed signals, representing items placed under ongoing observation rather than fully resolved.
  • Signals Closed counts signals closed by a user during this period (by close date), regardless of when they were originally created. System auto-closed signals are excluded.

Each KPI card shows a "vs prev" comparison against the previous 14-day period. Click any card to jump to the Signal Cases page with filters pre-set to show exactly those signals.

Below the KPI cards, two processing metrics show team responsiveness:

  • Assignment Rate — the percentage of signals created in this period that have been assigned to a user.
  • Category Confirmed — the percentage where a user has reviewed and confirmed the signal's category.

Section 2: Signal Breakdown

This section shows how signals distribute across categories and over time. Use the All / Monitoring toggle to switch between viewing all signals or only those from monitoring modules.

  • Category Distribution — a chart showing the spread of signals across category types.
  • Signal Trend — a daily trend line showing signal creation volume across the reporting period.
  • Category Details — a table listing each category with its count, percentage of total, and change compared to the previous period.

Section 3: Success Criteria

This section measures the quality of the signal detection system:

  • True Positive Rate — the proportion of signals that were confirmed as genuine by reviewers (as opposed to false positives).
  • Category Accuracy — how often the system's initial category assignment matched the reviewer's final decision.

The Category Accuracy by Group table breaks accuracy down across five category groups: Financial Crimes, Serious Crimes, Other Crimes, Cyber & Structural, and Regulatory & Sanctions. For each group, it shows how many were approved as-is versus changed by a reviewer.

Filtering and Exporting

Use the Filter by dropdown to narrow the report. It defaults to All Institutions, and groups the remaining choices under Segment and Institution — so you can report on a whole segment of your portfolio, not just one entity at a time. The From and To date pickers let you override the default 14-day period — your custom range persists until the next reporting period boundary.

Two export buttons sit at the top right, next to the refresh control. The PDF button downloads the report for offline review or sharing; the exported PDF includes all three sections but omits the interactive header controls. The Excel button downloads the same figures as a spreadsheet, which is the better choice when you need to work the numbers rather than circulate them.
